(These are only three of the 87 images posted). Only things I see missing are the original wheels and the black side window masks (maybe not all of them got it from the factory? This seems pretty darn original). Gary, might this be worth asking the seller if we can archive the images on the documentation site? These are not only nice to look at but a good record of a 1983 straight six truck.

Hey Jonathan,
I saw this rig on Facebook the other day as well, and the first that I noticed also was the black missing from around the door windows. I noticed it immediately because one thing I really like about the XLS's is that black mask around those windows!! Other than that, this thing is a beauty. I love it. My only comments... 87 pictures and not a single pic of inside the bed???...lol. The dual exhaust stands out as not original, but it looks great. There's something up with the cluster. The speedo needle is nice and fresh looking and the others are all faded almost white. My first thought was that the speedo was changed, but it's possible the speedo is original and the others were swapped. Trucks with these pristine interiors don't usually have faded cluster needles. I would imagine that this truck has been stored inside. The cluster could have been changed for various reasons. Regardless, it's gorgeous, and a fantastic find. I pray that a true enthusiast buys it and doesn't chop it all up.

Good eye on the cluster Cory. I saw the faded gauge needles and thought that was odd but it didnโt click that they were so different from the speedometer. It is likely a cluster swap/mix โn match as you said but makes you wonder why. No pics of the inside of the bed but the description says the wood was replaced last year. Maybe the photos were before the wood was replaced? ๐คทโโ๏ธ. Itโs definitely odd though. Since the VIN is already public, I wish they would have posted an image of the Marti reportโฆ

When/if we get the green light to capture the pics I'll ask about the bed and the Marti report.

The Marti report is in the BaT link I posted. It shows the XLS package, so no doubt it's the real deal.

You are right, Shaun. And there are pics of the bed in the comments. I've downloaded the bed pics and the Marti report and will see what I can do about the others as I'm tired of waiting on the seller to get back with me.
And I've created a page for it at Documentation/Picture Gallery/1983 XLS Survivor. So far just the Marti report and the bed pics are in there, but more to come awa the verbiage describing it.

Welcome, Jonathan. I'm trying to convince Janey that since this truck was born on my birthday, June 8th, that it is meant to be. She asked "What are you going to sell?" Ouch!

What do you guys think about the asking price of $26,500? Considering the highest bid on BaT was quite a bit less I'm thinking there may not be a market for this truck at this high of a price? I'm a bit surprised and thought it would bring closer to $20K on BaT, which tends to get really good prices for really good vehicles, such as this one appears to be.

I think $20K is about what it'll bring. And I think it is worth that. That truck is in wonderful shape. Man, I'd drive it the way it is. Well, maybe change out the wheels something more correct.
I tried to value it on Hagerty by VIN, but they can't find it. And I can't seem to even find Flaresides, much less XLS Flaresides.

The XLS trucks seem like they should be worth more money to me...but they don't seem to bring it in. Some of the Bullnose trucks that have gone for major bucks were very unlikely to me, but they were super low mileage. The XLS is pretty rare...so much so that I don't think most enthusiasts even know what they are...and I mean Ford people. I would LOVE to have this truck personally. It's gorgeous, and decent original XLS trucks are really rare these days.
