Interesting. I have pulled a number of these at the junkyard but I assumed they were all aftermarket. Mine may be (aftermarket) but I guess I should take a closer look and see if any may be OEM?
I already showed David, but I ended up finding OEM handles that I like better off of F600/F700 medium duty trucks:
SHORT BED 4-DOOR DIESEL: 1986 F350 4x4 under construction-- 7.3 IDIT ZF5+GVOD
STRAIGHT SIX 4X4: 1981 F150 2wd to 4x4-- 300 I6 close ratio diesel T19, hydroboost brakes, Saginaw steering
BIG F: 1995 F-Superduty under construction— converting to 6.9L IDI diesel ZF5+DNE2
Jonathan - I like that handle far, far better than the one that started this thread. That's 'cause the first one looks like a bathroom towel rod to me. I think you could probably find the same thing at Home Depot.
Wow! Expensive! And that’s just for one! I now have 4 waiting to go on my crew cab but I hope to find another pair for the ‘81. Not paying that much though!
Interesting that the came in black. That is what I will need for the XLS-esque look, but gloss black paint will have to do...
Just to add to the info, those have a wedge shaped plastic shim between the fastening end and the cab. The fasteners are high quality stainless torx head screws that thread into captive nuts mounted inside the cab wall. The rounds on the aluminum bar are very comfortable in the hands. They are not much to look at but very functional and well done.

Thank you! That would be fantastic, especially since this will be a high wear area. I know we talked about doing that with windshield trim but were unsure it could take the heat. These should definitely take it without warping. 😀
