Hello fellow bullnose enthusiasts! I have had a bullnose truck since My first vehicle when I was 16 (86 F150 302efi). I will always have at least three and I love the trucks. I currently have two 84 F-250 4x4 IDI's and a 1985 F250 4X4 300ci / 4spd. I hope to contribute to the forum and also learn a few things from fellow members. I am very happy to see a forum focusing on the 80-86 trucks. Thanks for having me!

Welcome James! . (... Charles, Lacy & Tommy)
Glad you and your 'friends' have joined. It seems we don't have a lot of members with diesels, so I'm sure your knowledge will be invaluable.
Jim,
Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake. Too much other stuff to mention. |
Thanks for the welcome Jim! I hope I can offer help when needed with the diesels, It would be my pleasure. Is there a member upload option? I would like to contribute to the resources on this sight. I have a decent collection of manuals and other resources.

Unfortunately there is not a way for members to upload documentation directly.
Gary handles the archiving and has spent a lot of time scanning factory manuals, microfiche etc, then OCRing them so that they are searchable. I'm sure he'll be along to post a welcome and will see your generous offer. You can contact any member directly by email just by clicking on their avatar if you like.

Yes, Welcome! Glad you joined.
What do you have to upload? I can see how to fit it in.

I have all 3 Manuals for the EEC-IV monitor / Recorder (EFI/SFI , FBC , CFI)already scanned to PDF with all of the overlays. I know this covers most ford cars/trucks of the 80's-90's but is a great resource if you have the equipment. Rotunda Transmission Tester Overlays 6.9L diesel engine "update" manual in PDF 6.9L / 7.3L Diagnostic Guide in PDF Rotunda Diesel Tach/Timing meter manual in PDF Rotunda Super Star II Manual in PDF There is a tool I drew that can be 3D printed to static time the IDI diesel engines. I have several physical books on the shelf , I will have to go through and see what all I have and what I can scan. I wish there was an easy way to scan those Light Truck service manuals, even if I had the binding sheared off the manuals I am not sure that "rice paper" would be friendly with my flatbed scanner. Thanks Gary for all your hard work of putting this sight together, I always wanted to do something like this to help other enthusiasts but dont have the HTML skills. It is obvious the amount of time and effort you have poured into this site with the very best of intentions. Hats off to you!

Those manuals may be a great addition to the site! Do you use Dropbox or OneDrive? Somewhere you can put them to let me pick them up?
As for the books with "rice paper", my scanner seems to do ok with it - assuming it is what I've found on other publications. I have had to adjust the settings so I see just the one side, but it seems to work. So if you have something we could really use I'd be happy to scan it. Please take a look and see what you have and let me know. And that tool might be very helpful for others. Do you have it in a format that is widely used by the 3D printers? Last, you are welcome. The site is a labor or love. I have a lot more that I want to do, but need to get more wrenching done as at 75 years old that time is rapidly coming to an end. Then maybe I can scan and type.
