My understanding was that some Canadian dealerships were Mercury only in the 40’s-60’s, and in order to be able to market and sell pickup trucks Ford had to badge some as M100 Mercury etc., they had unique tailgates, emblems and mercury badged trim, but were otherwise identical to the Ford versions. The last ones were of the bump side 67-72 body style, so no Mercury Bullnose trucks.
