Hello, Tim from the U.P. Here. Just joined up read the guidelines. I am here to gain some knowledge in fixing up my dads (rip) 1984 F150 style side with a I6 and manual 3+OD tranny. I am a marine mechanic so have knowledge and skills, but not specific to this project. Thanks for having me. Tim

First off, 'styleside' are the flat sided trucks.
You have a lovely example of a Flareside!

As such, you're the latest member of our FOG! (flareside owners group)

And the 300/4.9 are well liked around here.

Hoping we have all the answers and data you need to get your dad's truck running great.

Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake.
Too much other stuff to mention.

What part of the UP? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and can add you with a city. And also because my wife and I were up there about a year ago. Spent some time in Traverse City as well as Mackinac Island.

Welcome! It’s been quite some time since I have been in the western UP but my grandparents lived in Wakefield and we visited them often. Skiing season was especially nice! Great looking truck!
