Interesting. I wasn't aware that it was even an issue.

Nice find.
We have had frequent issues with our 95 1 ton because of this. The metal where the handle attaches ends up stretching enough to where the linkage doesn't work right. We repaired and reinforced ours but no doubt this is a cleaner solution.

I think it was mainly a problem on trucks with cable operated handles.
