Quite expensive, but weren't these things nice when new!

Yipes! I've paid less than that for a whole truck. It didn't run, but neither does that.

That would be $585 CDN for me, plus shipping and taxes...lol. I betcha it would cost me $700 bucks.
It's nice from the standpoint that I get to admire it, but the price point allows me to instantly dismiss it;). Its when the parts are inexpensive that I get an overwhelming urge to buy it now...lol.

The seller gives a part number E0TZ-13A805 which sounds correct for a truck (but should have a “-A” suffix), yet the rubber shell is slate blue, and it says blue in the item description. I’ve seen color matching like that on Thunderbird and LTD cars, but I believe they had different emblems than the Ford oval. I don’t know if high end econoline vans had color matching but I’ve never seen it, and the horn bar lacks the econoline style trumpet icons. This is a gorgeous horn pad, but I’m not too sure what it goes to? 🤷♂️

Typically the "TZ" of E0TZ means it is for a truck. Not a car or a van or..... But, the 1973-79 car catalog lists D1TZ as a prefix.
The Broncos took the same unit as the F-Series trucks - black. And I don't see a blue one with Rosewood for a van. Further, it can't be for a little Ranger or Bronco II as they weren't around in 1980 - the "E0" part of the prefix. So I'm betting that was for a car.

Granada maybe? https://www.zenauto.biz/1977_Ford_Granada_Sacramento_CA_6914589.veh It's not the same pad, but it was color matched to the interior.

Maybe so. It is interesting that trucks got black or black or black, but cars got color-matched horn pads. I haven't checked, but most companies used the same colors on all of their vehicles in the same year. So why not use them in the trucks? Would they have looked too froufrou?

It is interesting Gary, and something I have wondered about. High trimmed trucks got color matched seat belts and associated trim, while lesser models got black. So why not color matched steering wheels? Except for the column sleeve it seems the parts were already being made for the car lines... I once saw a canyon red steering wheel and horn pad in a ‘84 Thunderbird and contemplated buying it, but it was a little rough and I think I will appreciate the padded style wheel in the Arizona summer heat...
