Oh so nice and fresh!
Coming from Scotty you know it's going to be a Beast! 😈 That billet steel cam gear gives me a funny feeling. (sanitized for the family friendly aspect of this forum) On my phone it looks like he is using a alternator pulley as a timing wheel retainer. (can someone with a real monitor confirm?)

Yes, that's exactly what he's using to spread the load against the timing wheel. I saw it as soon as I opened that pic.

Yesterday we took a short drive into T-Town and this was dropped into the bed. Had forgotten to reduce the tire pressure after the trip to bring the '65 Malibu back, so the ride down was a bit choppy. But this smoothed it out nicely.

Thanks. May be even better with a few "accessories", like powder coated valve covers, lower plenum, pan, timing cover, etc.

If you've been following the thread called Sky's Offroad Design Super Duty RSK Install you'll have seen that I got several of the front suspension parts blasted and powder coated.
But I've also been blasting and PC'ing some other parts, including these perches, engine mount brackets, and the lifting strap:

Gary, I have a question for you when you get a chance to research it. Are there supposed to be one or two of those lifting straps? Darth has one on the front of the right head. I know the older engines had one on each exhaust manifold so they could be lifted with a 3 point support on the assembly line.

Bill - Interesting question. And one I tried to answer earlier today. The ID # on that strap is E7TE 17A084-CB. But that doesn't show up in the cross reference book. Nor does 17A084 show up in the catalog. And one of the many mentions of "strap" in the catalog have anything to do with lifting an engine. Further, a Google search for E7TE 17A084-CB turns up nothing. But that ID# shows that it is a Ford part.
But that strap was on the back of the head on Huck, the 1990 F250. And yours was on the front? Does it have a number on it?
Nor do the illustrations in the MPC show exactly that part. However, as shown below, there is a lifting point shown on the driver's side exhaust manifold on other engines, but not the 460. And even then there's no # for it.

I'll have to look, FWIW, Big Ugly was also a 1990 F250, just a 2WD rather than a 4WD.

Are you wanting another of those to have a pair?

Now, this is interesting.
I never had a lift point on my engine. The E7 # probably goes with the E7 efi heads. Does it bolt where my thermactor crossover & check valve do?

Jim - I don't know about where it bolts as this is the only pic I seem to have that shows it. But I'm thinking it does.

Well, of course the heads are totally different, but that would occupy the same real estate as the crossover.

On the front it goes in behind the alternator/air pump bracket and attaches to the lower set of holes on that head, one about where the air pump passage blanking plug would be on a carbureted engine.
Gary, did it look like the strap was bent to clear the firewall? If so then that would indicate that the heads may have been swapped on the huck.

Yes, it is curved to miss the firewall. But the heads were certainly swapped as they are the later F3's. And I'm really happy with that 'cause here's what Scotty said:
The F3 castings have a revised intake bowl that biases the flow column to the chamber wall side imparting a pretty high degree of swirl as the column passes the throat / valve. The F3's port mods are designed to make more torque.

Refresh my memory on what Eric has done with the heads?

New valves, guides, and seals. No porting as he only does aluminum now. But he did back-cut the valves and did a 5-angle job.
