Hello, everyone! My name is Jonathon. I usually go by John. I live in central Arkansas and recently acquired a 1985 F-150 XLT Lariat from an estate sale up in Greenbrier. Though it has some mechanical issues that need to be diagnosed and sorted out, it was garage kept and is in very good shape for its age.
I just randomly searched on estatesales.net one day and found the sale about two weeks before it was to occur. Below is the picture they posted.
And the day after I brought it home.
The first thing I did was remove the running boards. I was not a fan.
I also installed 1980 clear marker lenses.
The first work I did was a deep clean. It also needed a redo of the headliner. The dash pad is perfect.
Headliner work. I'm very happy with how this turned out. I also replaced all the interior lights with some very bright LEDs.
I look forward to conversing with everyone here. I am having some issues with this truck that I'll post about elsewhere. It's nice to see these trucks have a good following.
Welcome, John. Nice find!!! Where are you in Arkansas? Gary will be asking to put you on the map. If not too far, you might want to consider coming to our Truck Show next year in Skiatook Oklahoma. Just had one a couple weeks ago....awesome event.

Nice looking truck you found and great job on the inside.
Will be looking for your post of the issues the truck has so we can help.
