Hello, my name is Chris Guthro. I’m from Nova Scotia Canada. Have been collecting and messing around with the 80-96 fords for the last 10 years now. Been on a lot of Facebook groups until a fellow group member here lead me to it! Cory, “bluemule”. Been at my 84 f150 the last 7-8 years. Was a big project a fella really didn’t know what he was getting into at first. Basically restarted from scratch 4 years ago after discovering Rust free southern parts lol. It’s a 1984 registration and cab/frame. But it’s got a mildly built 70’ 460. Ported d0ve heads, ported edelbrock performer rpm intake, comp xe262h cam, and roller rockers. Hooker supercomp long tubes. With a Centerforce clutch, 1-3/8 close ratio big block Torino toploader and a rebuilt 9inch 3:50 gear trac-loc. Paint is 99a straight black inside and out. Currently waiting on the finish body work on the box. Will be two tone black top and bottom with the grey in the middle.

Been having a hard time sourcing all the lower moulding trim for this truck. Started doing the interior. Had to get a seat out of a f700 that had The Center hump cut out for the shifter as the position of the car trans shifter was back quite far. Painted the dash, using SEm landau black. The seat is currently sent away to get redone in a black vinyl/leather
. Going with a 295/50 and 245/60 wheel combo, one 15x8 and 15x10 wagon wheels painted argent and ford centres

Nice project should be able to get out of its own way
I like the seat, did not know the big boys had them cut like that. I now wish I did not trash the base from my parts truck as I could have mod it to do the same as I may need it for the next upgrade to my project. Dave ----

Thanks I may have a full seat from a buddy around the corner. He has 2 trucks and is using the best parts to make 1 good truck. I did ask him when he was done to let me know what he had left over and he may want for it. It could also turn into my next project., Cab is in pretty bad shape, no motor or trans, frame what I seeis in good shape. It does not have a bed but someone showed me a flare bed only for not much money a few weeks back. Work has been really slow and hate to spend the money on a bed and not have a truck to fit it on. Sorry for the hi jack Dave ----

I put a aftermarket McLeod clutch fork in my truck and with the heavy clutch rated for 550 horse, the rod going to the clutch pedal kept breaking, so no longer haha. I used a 3/8 Heim joint, welded a 5/16 to it to use a hard 5/16x4-1/2 bolt to use for the adjuster and push rod to the master. And with the CNC slave cylinder mounted to the 429 bell I had to lengthen the pushrod. So I used 3/8 hard threaded rod with a lock knock widdled down and the rod threaded down to bottom out the cylinder. Now I may have to use the repair bracket to strengthen the firewall.

I will likely be up your way this week Chris...possibly even tomorrow. Do you still need that pedal set? I might get the Bull out to put some highway miles on her if the weather is good.

That's a serious piece! You must have a LOT of pressure on that. And no bracket on the firewall?????

Think it was bottoming out before completely being maxed out. So I die grind a bit off the fork, and a bit around radius of bell opening. So I’ll get it on tomorrow and see how it is

You're going to want the firewall reinforcement.
If it's not bad yet you might get away with the small one. When Cory comes up have him work the clutch while you look at the master and see how much the nose rises and falls.

I really like that hood!
What are you going to use to fuel this beast?

Where do you get the enforcements? I’m interested in the small one! It’s got a 750 edelbrock on it to break it in. But it’s gonna get a 800 quick fuel I think when it comes time to put it on the road

I think I have the small one I took out of Big Blue. You can have it for the shipping cost. But, I know shipping costs to Canada are high.

It's a little triangle that bolts through the pinch weld above and through the tranny tunnel on the right side.
If this lockdown ever ends maybe Cory can pick it up for you in Maine?

Got the message. I'll have to find it, but it is in the shop so I should be able to find it tomorrow. (Maybe I'll find the lower steering shaft at the same time? Maybe they are hiding together?) Anyway, it is yours if you want it.
The little ones were used if the firewall isn't cracked. The bigger one is for when the firewall is already broken. But as I was going with a heavier duty clutch and had the big one I installed it. Here's a pic of the little guy installed, although not correctly as it should have been bolted on the right side as that is a big part of how if gets its strength. And here's a pic of it and the larger one I put in.

That’s exactly what I’d need!!! Not ugly and gawdy!! My firewall is mint. So the small one would be good. I’d like to find one for the pull truck now haha
