Looks like a 250 passenger car I6 according to the placement of the dizzy and oil filter.

I am an idiot....if I had read the entire ad, over in the right hand section it says "250ci"....

250s are neat engines. They share a lot with the 170/200 series, but have the SB rear trans mounting pattern like the 240/300 does.

This is what was in the ‘72 Comet that I used to have. It was a very good engine, I just couldn’t get a useable carb for it. I went through 21 (yes, twenty-one) Tomco warranty carburetors. Two sprayed gas all over the place right out of the box and I had to ask for my core back just to limp home. It was a good engine though and I liked the car.
