2004 Lincoln Towncar Ultimate trade for a Bullnose???

Ray Cecil
Just throwing this out there. I just bought a low mileage 2008 Tahoe for my wife....now that we have a nice reliable car for her, I am thinking about getting back into a Bullnose. I love my lincoln like I love my Impala, Z71 and Camaro.....but.....I would entertain offers to sell outright or trade for a Bullnose of comparable value. I gave $5,500 for the Lincoln late late year. Everything works and is in great shape. A few minor scratches that could be buffed out. 94,000 miles.

Would trade for any 80-86, 2WD or 4WD. I'd lean towards a Stepside. A/C has to work, or at least be able to if charged up.

What is this A/C you speak of?...lol.

You mean roll the windows down?

Joking aside, I get it. The little bit I drove mine last summer and fall it was like an oven inside with no A/C. My solid back window really makes matters much worse...it is like having a magnifying glass on the back of your neck. And that's up here in Canada where we all whine and complain when it hits 85 degrees...lol.

Good luck with the potential trade!

Yeah, the 86 I had in Tulsa cooked me almost to death. If I remember correctly, it had a/c I just never hooked it up. Probably for $$ reasons at that time.

When I acquired Big Blue the previous owner, Vernon, said that the A/C had been working but had just quit.  I've been driving it with the windows down and the wind, exhaust, and tire noise has been awful - not to mention the heat.  By the end of even a short trip we were drained.

So I recently took it to the local A/C shop and they pulled a vacuum, finding that it didn't leak.  So they filled it up and charged me $142.  Now trips are much more pleasant and the truck is getting used far more than it would have - and summer has only just started.  I'm now a believer in working A/C.
