Re: door panel refurbishing

I stopped on my way home from work to get some paint, I bought a can of dupli color adhesion promoter and when I looked at the charcoal grey and it seemed to dark, so i got medium grey. When I got home I went to the truck and held the can to the dash and it looks to light...guess I'll go back and get the charcoal grey after all.

Just a little update.....

I don't have the door panels prepped yet, and since I didn't know which color grey would match, I started with a kick panel.

what I started with, cleaned with dawn soap and hot water

I decided to use dupli color products

started with a few light coats of adhesion promoter, then a few light coats of medium grey

dash is factory grey

The other trim pieces are factory grey

Thanks, one of these days I'll find time to get the the door panels.  I've got a wood stove in the garage, so I can keep it warm enough to paint out there.
