Ron - Are there things we should think about in the design that would make it more or less expensive to make?
And is there a way to guestimate the cost?

You have done a lot of work, CliftonK! I believe it would look better if the book part was parallel [same thickness front and back]. Please consider labeling it: BULLNOSEbible.COM and instead of angled, have the title parallel to the ground. |
I didn't either. Like I said, I stole a sticker, erased the back half then spent an hour trying to draw four lines and make it look like a book. Nope, I got the proof of concept done, but it's gonna need some real talent to make that sticker work. Any volunteers?

For my designs, the final version of my two (truck grill) are my nominees. Intention being that they be a cut vinly decal, not a printed sticker (one color to keep it cheap and simple, which is my personal preference ). If they're not made in bulk, perhaps both could be made (since the size would be the same; the only difference is the center section (one addition location to "weed" during decal production)?
--- Personally not feeling the "book" concept. But that's more a reflection of my preference for simple and bold decals, not fine and complex "image" stickers. Not saying the concept is bad, it just isn't my style. I like bold and simple because it catches the eye from a greater distance (doesn't fade to a blur as close). But that's me, and I'm only one person here.

Bringing this back to current discussion. It was mentioned a few days ago that not only would having a window sticker benefit parking lot discussions/passersby but it might also bring new owners of sold trucks back here.

Yes, let's get this going again. I'm going to move several posts from the Fuel tank, sending unit and radiator... [Ford Truck Show - 9/4/21] thread here. But it'll look slightly disjointed as in the first post I move here will be the one by John/Machspeed where he replies to David/1986F150Six and mentions decals.

Very kind of you David, look forward to meeting you. I may haul some stuff up too, as I've purchased things I either don't need or changed my mind in using.
If I can get my printer to cooperate, will be bringing some decals I've made too.

We will have a swap meet, so bring your stuff!
And, I'm anxious to see the decals. Might this be the answer to Scott's question? And, John, you do know that we have a QR code, right? You should be able to download it from here: qr-code.png

No Gary, did not know that we have a QR code. I'll down load it. When one scans that, what does it do? Does it take you to the website?
I still have my stuff when I was working on a sticker for us. I will pull it out and work on it again and maybe we can have something by showtime, Sept 4th.

On an iPhone, and probably most mobile devices, if you scan a QR code with the camera you get an option at the top of the screen to open it in a browser. In our case that will take you to the main page of the forum.
And if we could have stickers to hand out at the show that would be wonderful! I can cover the costs. And if they are decals that could be put on the inside of the back glass where they are protected, even better. Start a thread? Or revive the other one(s)?

This post was updated on .
In fact, here's a screenshot of what I see when I scan it on my iPhone X. Just click the 'Open "bullnoseforum.com" in Safari' and it'll take you to the main page. So, in cases like Cory's where he sold his truck, if he had the sticker in the window the new owner would have a link to us.
Obviously we'd want the name of the forum in the sticker so they'd know why they want to scan it. And maybe other info. I'm sure you can work that out.

Here's a link to my "business card" if that might help.
And this is what it looks like. Note that while our URL is going to change when we move to the new servers, this one will be re-directed to the new one so there won't be a problem.

I vote for new thread. As for decal, OUTSIDE - I have tinted back glass. And keep it simple - truck graphic with site name and maybe address or QR.
Here's what I have on my back glass now. I don't mind a sticker or two.

Can the winner of the sticker design offer the sticker for sale? Or even if they don't win can they sell it to anyone that wants it if approved design? Because it will take a lot of effort to design and make. Just wanted to see if there were any incentives.

Good question, Jonathan.
It has been over a year and we have a lot of new people and new ideas. So here's what I propose: Let's have a new thread with a poll in it. (You can only do a poll in the first post of a thread.) And the poll will show all of the options which we want to vote on.But, we need to put forth all of the versions we want to vote on in this thread so I can put them in the new thread/poll as I cannot modify the poll once it is started. And the winner of the poll is our "officially unofficial" sticker/decal. But, I don't think that would stop any of you from offering another version, assuming it doesn't go against our guidelines and is in good taste. Does that make sense, folks? If so, please go back through and tell me which ones you want to vote on.
