I pulled off my dash bezel and found this bulb hanging where it clearly does not belong. I think it’s the shift light for my manual transmission maybe. See the hole for a bulb at the top left of the instrument cluster? Is that where it goes?
If so it’s missing the plastic mount for holding it in. Anyone know what part that is or am I completely off base here? Thanks LB

Could that be the light that lights up the headlight/ wiper switch when you turn on the head lights?

Exactly right Steve!
Not long ago someone else was asking about it. I think it was in Eddy Myrtle. The clip had been packed away

Thanks. Anybody know the clip part number or where I can get it? The documentation is a little fuzzy on that.
I might have it somewhere if I knew what it looked like...

I can probably find a part number, but this one's got your name on it if you don't find yours. Here the two pieces are together, albeit blurry: And here they are apart:

Thanks, Gary. I definitely don't have that. I hate to play the "send it to me if you have an extra lying around" if I can just order it.
But... I'll give you a President Jackson and send you a USPS mailing label if you want to save me the trouble of tracking this thing down. If so DM me (you can do that here, right?)

Do you know German slang? Jein. That's "ja" and "nein", for yes and no, run together.
You can email me, or anyone else on the forum, by clicking the person's "handle" and then clicking "Send email". So send me the email w/an address and I'll send it. No problem. No money needed. So, yes and no.

I found the mount for the bulb. I'm unsure what it clips onto, though. Does anyone have a pic of this thing actually installed (or the supposedly equivalent 1000 words to describe it's installation)?
Thanks!!!

I don't have a pic of one installed as they are behind the instrument bezel. But here's where it goes:

My clip looks very different from Gary's... Maybe that clip is for the ashtray or glovebox Gary? I don't have either of those, so can't say for sure.
And yes, like Jim mentioned, I had misplaced mine and had the same issue...

Thanks Rob for adding the photo - was going to try and find one today
Yours and Gary's is the same. The silver casing Gary is showing with the two spring clips snaps into the bracket that screws to the dash as seen in your photo. The little blue cap goes over the silver casing.

That's a great picture. That bracket is not attached to my dash. I'm going to dig through my spare parts to see if I still have it.
