Good Afternoon Everyone,
I have a NP 208 transfer case that has a leaky front seal I was planning on replacing today but I hit a snag on the first step in that process… I can’t even fit a 1/4 drive socket on the nuts for the drive shaft-transfer case connection (as seen in picture). I could put a wrench on them to get it off but I don’t think I’d be able to fit my 3/8 drive torque wrench on them to get them back on and torqued down to spec which is only 20-28 ft lbs. have others had this problem and been able to get around it? Maybe with a shallower socket and a 1/4 drive torque wrench? Thought I’d ask be for I go tool hunting at the store.
Thank you,
Nick
