Got the cover off the 90's wiper motor.  The magnets were stuck to the armature and came out with it.  The bearings and brushes look fine.  So, with some cleanup and gluing the magnets back in, assuming they are to be glued in, it might work.  MIGHT.

They were glued in, I have repaired power seat motors, just make sure which one is which or it will run backwards. I used JB Weld, and put a fairly thin layer on the magnets after cleaning everything, set them in place and put the case back together with no innards to keep things aligned as JB Weld will creep until it is fairly well set.

At least you got lucky on that one, I pulled the heater casing on the Chevstang I am fixing for my favorite junkyard/wrecker service and found it had been wet, both bushings were frozen to the shaft and it is pretty much toast. New one ordered, a nice 4 seasons non-ventilated one like the original. Date on it is Jun 9 1966, car is a 1967.

Is it really worth it, for a stinking wiper motor?

When I take the cowl off my truck to change it I think I'm going to replace the retainer bushings "while I'm in there"

I don’t think it is worth it. After all, the screws that retsin the motor to the gearbox are snapped off, so even if I got it running then I’d have to weld the ears to the screw and that might break the gearbox case.

Jim - Have you found out if the switch and delay module are good?  I have them off the '90 if you want them.

Gary, I think I want to give Theo the wrecker driver the cab of the Super Duty.

Would you be willing to cut a roof piece from your 1/2 truck and send it to Oz?

I'm not cutting my 1/2 ton!  That's dad's truck.

Nor am I cutting my 3/4 ton '85.  But, I'd be willing to cut the 3/4 ton '90.  Which is probably what you meant.  Right?

Do we know that a '90 fits his?  (I guess if a '95 roof does then a '90 does?)

Half *truck*....
Did auto correct screw me up?

Doors and windshield all *fit* but are different from '80-96/7.
ie the vent window changed and the VIN moved so the painted bezel on the windshield moved with it (but the glass is the same.

The corner he needs should be the same.

Anyway, yes I'm happy to cut anything off the cab of the '90.

And, by the way, this top isn't perfect.  I'll get a pic..............

I think I fixed my wipers.

I found a pin had backed out of the lower plug.
They seem to be working.
