Temperature Control Cable - Heater

I am looking for a temp control cable for my heater. My truck is a 1980 and while I am not sure, I think the temp control cable was used up to 11/1980. Not sure what changed after that, if anything. The Ford part number is E0TZ-18518-A. Thanks for looking!

Carl - Do you have all of the cable but it is broken? If so, a lawnmower shop may be able to make a new one for you.

You gave me that suggestion in my project thread so I did call around to all the lawnmower shops and even one bike shop, but no one makes cables. They all just order parts. So I thought I’d give this a try.
