Tailgate compatibility

I'm sure this has been covered before/is just a dumb question, but I can't find the answer here. Are the tailgates on a 1983 f150 different than the ones on a 1983 f250? Found a clean parts donor near me.
1983 f150 RCLB, carb 4.9, np435 4 speed, 4x4

No difference that year.

Right.  The tailgates for a an F100 were the same as for an F350 - within a given year.

The difference is that the 1980 - 82 tailgate had metal straps to hold it on and the 1983 - 86 had cables.  That's explained here: Documentation/Exterior/Beds & Tailgates and then the Tailgates tab and the Changing Tailgates tab.
