The rod for the right side of my tailgate keeps coming off the handle. It does not have a plastic clip to hold it on to the handle. Are these clips left and right dependent? I wanted to buy some from eBay but it was not clear.
I don't think the clips are "handed". If I remember correctly they can be used on either side. But I just buy a Dorman set down at the parts store. They always seem to have them in stock.
if you have an Oreilys nearby check at the counter for a catalog for "disco" hardware. they can usually get these in bulk. you may not need 25 but i have found their hardware better than most.
