I guess this is what I signed up for when I bought a Bronco instead of a K5 Blazer, I rebuilt my steering column and now I can't mount it until I replace the firewall gasket somehow. But it's not an available part so I have to get creative.
I searched up a recent-ish thread regarding peeling back the rubber and sticking it back on. Well the rubber on mine was toast so I came up with 35% of the solution. Possibly.
I have tons of EPDM rubber left from making my custom firewall insulator and I made an outer gasket. It would probably work but it's thin and combined with the billet lower column bearing it will transfer extra vibration to the steering wheel. I will either triple up the gasket or just get thicker material as I still have my template to make more.
Okay now I must find something that seals the column itself. There are similar gaskets available for dentsides and I'm wondering if they will be a similar diameter.
