Replacement floor pan panels

What's a good choice for replacement floor pans?  Are they all the same chinese stampings or are some better than others?

I like the 18Ga. Tabco American stamped ones.

Tabco also sells some Taiwan stampings, but overall they seem better than most.

I have a rocker, floor and A pilar right here waiting for next week or two.

Yep.  Jim put me onto Tabco years ago and my paint/body man said they are the best panels he's ever gotten.

I'm impressed that John found them superior.  

I bought them liking the fact I was supporting manufacturing jobs in the rust belt.
I also liked that when I called, the guy who answered actually walked out on the floor to check that they had everything I wanted.

Crashing presses and the sound of flash being tossed into bins made me feel this is a thriving business. 😁

I hope that's still true.

John has been working an a '72 F250 for years as the owner gets the money, and he ordered panels from Tabco after his experience on Dad's truck.  He was sold.

I think Tabco is the one I heard about before.  I knew there was an American company doing them but for the life of me I couldn’t remember the name.  Thanks guys!

Yep Tabco here also and really happy with them.

Same was done on the other side and the lower half (inside & out) of the left door

Is there an inner rocker you had to replace too?

This was from 4 years ago so its a little foggy
I forget what that inner black part was called?
There was also a weather strip lip between the rocker & floor pan.
IIRC you could get the rocker with or with out the lip or something like that.
What I remember their site is pretty good to describe the panels and from the pictures you can figure what all you need.

My first order some of the panels over lapped a lot and they called me to tell me so, loosing the sale of that panel but sent a flat sheet to use as a filler if needed, that I did not need.

I say first order as I had to order the weather strip lips and a 2nd cab corner as I cut 1 of them on the wrong line I marked

Between the patches fitting good, thick metal for welding and them calling to save me money / loosing part of a sale, I would not think twice of using them again.

Not an "inner rocker".

That black (downslope) piece is 'outer floor at door sill.'

I don't think Tabco stamp that one.
IIRC you need to go to Raybuck, or someone for that.

Some companies sell a "slip over" rocker.
Quick and crappy way to patch over the rust.
But it saves having to carefully check the door opening before fully welding it in.

I have to do all this plus the 'shoe' of the A pillar (and have all the parts)
But don't really have a garage to do it.

I'll definitely post some pics, just like I did of the big hole where I see the ground every time I open the door.  😆

I always called it a support brace.

When we built floors for dads and 85 we ended up building our own out of 2" square stock. Way stronger.

You talking of this brace that runs along side the cab mount on back?
