Noted on the bends.
I left whatever of the labels & tape didn't come off easily be everywhere but the exhaust tip and hanger. The tip was covered in the UPS shipping label and a lot of packing tape!

Did you change out the Y pipe as well? Ive been looking at Y pipes off and on for the better part of a year trying to find something better than the walker junk I kept finding.

No y pipe... It's a 300!
The cats and downpipe are in good shape. I did replace the thermactor pipe awhile back though. ------------ More pics from yesterday:

Ah ok I thought yours was a V8 not a I6. Im trying to get a reply from Summit or Flowmaster on their Y pipe. It looks like the converter pipe is a slip fit with a clamp but its hard to tell in the photos. If it was that would be what I want to go with cause I can then just slip a straight pipe to my Magnaflow muffler and out the back and be done. Problem is though the pipe is 2 1/4" where from my research the OE muffler was 2 1/2" inlet and a 2 1/4" outlet. I think I am going to have to run a 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" adapter on the Flowmaster Y pipe if possible.

...until you see the welded washer on the stock hanger. Probably a needle in a haystack finding an original hanger in usable condition. My concern is that the weld will fail due to vinbration... then again I had to weld a snapped hanger on the Ranger and a snapped thermactor pipe brace tab to the F150's downpipe and both seem to have held so far?

What my 81 F100 with a 300 six has a Y pipe Then again I am running EFI exh manifolds On it the cat is a slip on. I used the exh system off my parts truck as it was in pretty good shape and being for a long bed, mine is a short bed, the Y pipe and the mid pipe came up short by like 4 inches The Y pipe & mid pipe were different sizes so between the adapters I was able to get they hooked together. I am not using the cat. Dave ----

Well, learn something every day. Always wanted a newer EFI 300'd F-series (aeronose, not as much of a fan of the bricknoses, didn't the 1996 ones have OBDII?), but never have, and have never seen.

Too early to say for sure, but it does seem to be running better. On a 1 hour drive to my parents' house, I didn't have to gear down (manually or by TV pressures) once on the way over. The fuel gauge didn't drop as fast seemingly too. But time will tell for sure.

MPG results are in:
Mixed driving: 15.1MPG. Compared to the 12 I had been getting... yep, that's improved. Time will tell if it's real or just a fluke...

Excellent! In just less than two weeks you'll have a good chance to get definitive results.
So, to what do you attribute the improvement? The exhaust system? Or did you make other changes at the same time?
