Remote oil filter

Need opinions on a remote oil filter install. Thinking of installing a remote oil filter on my 84 f150 with a 5.0.
What size hose do you think I should use to connect the block to the filter housing? I am looking to use hydraulic hose to do the install.

1984 F150 Flareside
1992 5.0 with edelbrock 4 barrel
Comp XE264HR cam
GT40 heads
3.70 rear gear with T5 trans
Dual exhaust.

Big Blue's 460 has a remote oil cooler so I used this Hayden Automotive 112 Engine Oil Cooler Hose from Amazon. However other places call it automatic transmission cooler hose.

In any event, it is designed for hot oil and it is working well. And it is 1/2" ID.

What type of fitting's did you use? Push lock?

The Ford stuff uses barbed fittings.
