Ownercard Warranty ID Card

ckcatbull
We just purchased our first Bullnose and the original Ownercard came with all the manuals and records.  It was a one owner truck prior to us, coming out of Canada.  Obviously the first number is the VIN, but I am looking to find out what the rest of the card references and cannot find anything on  this on the Forum or online.  Would love help please.

What I could hazard a guess from the specifications page here on the site.
Does this sound like your truck????

2E  9A Seems to be body paint codes (lt canyon red and white)
F155 is the model code for a 133" wb 2wd F150 with 6,100 gvw.
4 **could be** a tape code for red/orange/bittersweet
19 would be an open 3.55 diff
T would be the transmission code for AOD

 Jim,
Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake.
Too much other stuff to mention.

Well done, Jim!

I've gone through the master parts catalog and have found several references to a warranty plate, but no discussion of it nor how to decode it.

In General Information section it says to "Determine the year and model of the truck by de-coding the truck warranty plate from the General information Section of this Catalog."  But nowhere does it explain how to do that, like it does on the certification label.

So my guess is that the warranty plate is a hold-over from previous years and was supplanted by the certification label.

I think I have one of these in my glovebox along with the owners manual, spare alloy key and the rest of the dealer/warranty type paperwork.
I really should go check!

Embossed tags (like a buck tag or VIN plate) were a great way to 'store' information in a time before digital controls.
I'd imagine dealerships had something akin to a credit card swipe machine that could copy these for their records back then.

I'm interested to see if what I suggest above is accurate.  ðŸ¤”
