Hi , NZCobra here ,
Had my 86 since 2011 , Have converted it to a Tremec TR4250 as the AOD died , took the motor out 2 years ago for Freeze plug replacement , and had some rebuild heads which were 66 small chamber heads that had been given the Hi-PO treatment , Comp is a bit High but is only temporary (new Stroker )351 -385ci ) soon ..short block in truck now is actually a 302 87 roller block std , no bore wear and was zero decked , shorty headers and still on SD ecu , I have it running really good, better in cool air. I have been slowly fixing the untidy bits . Cheers .

Yes, Welcome to the forum!
North or South island? Seems quite hotted up already, but we all know there's no replacement for displacement! 😉

Not really , i think it needs more torque , just using some leftover parts with a few new ones . 385 windsor should be cool .

Yes, welcome! Glad you joined!
Where's home? Or, where in NZ? We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with your permission and a town. And you'll see that Ken is there as well. In fact, he's been not only to the States for more specifically to the Garagemahal Ford Truck Show as well as in my home.. The description of your truck sounds great! Hope you'll start a build thread and post some pics.

Im in the North Island , in Hawkes Bay , just had to do a captains chair repair found some broken bits which made it sit on an angle , and fitted a dash cap and painted it up with some SEM regartta blue and it looks good. When i figure out the photo upload (not that electronically gifted) will add my engine pic progress . Cheers

You are now, quite literally, on the map.
As for uploading pics, that's explained on the FAQ's page: Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's in the menu. But you'll probably want to start a thread in the main section or in Projects as this is the "introduction" area and doesn't get as much traffic as the others do.

LOL! So, down under, meaning upside down? This forum, like many, doesn't read the orientation data in pictures, so you have to get the orientation right before uploading.
Open it in an editing app and then save it. That usually does it as the app reads the data and re-orients it.

Thanks Gary finally got it there , I tried add a message for the photo but it didnt go to the post ?
This is my 302 , has got a later model air box , because of the comp steel roller rockers and alloy valve covers ,when i first got the truck , I removed both tanks and cleaned and replaced pumps , and fitted new tank selector valve , have driven truck to Hamilton ,about 450 miles and back in one day ,no issues . I have done front wheel bearings , ball joints and tie rods ,need to get some more caster and camber in it , truck is 98% rust free , it needs a few panels aligning, its had a few bits replaced over the years and i would like to do a two tone i:e blue hood etc. . Cheers .

Glad you got the pic figured out. Looks good!
You've really done a lot of work to the truck. I'll bet it gets lots of thumbs-up when you drive it.

Ken Blythen has an F250 up north of you. But, when he was here a couple of years ago he said the Bullnose trucks are few and far between down there.
