My name is Diego and I am a new member from south Texas. I recently purchased a 1985 f150 scsb 5.8. Truck was purchased at an auction close to Atlanta,GA. Truck almost had no rust. The only rust the truck has is on the front bolt of the bed(drivers side). That is why you can see the body lines a little off there. I will be fixing it soon.
This is how the truck looked like when I purchased it. I have since fixed the damage to it. Hood and tailgate are currently getting repainted. Hood needed to be painted because the one I found was tan color and tailgate had some scratches. Since buying it in December I have Fixed the damage Installed different bumpers Aftermarket radio Removed vinyl and added carpet Installed sound deadening under carpet Added 17x10 billet specialties wheels w/ nitto tires New tail lights, parking lights, turn signals etc This is how it looks as of a week ago. I still have a list of things to do before I can start using it. I have to pull engine and transmission and do a complete tune up. Gaskets, timing chain, carburetor kit, spark plugs etc. I have also bought some headers and exhaust. Speakers and subwoofers are on the way also. Will be getting some shackles to level the back. I have also purchased door panel pockets for the bottom of the door and the chrome tailgate trim. I have also purchased a factory tachometer and got myself a set of door panels that was in bad shape but had the chrome trim in good shape. I had a sliding rear window laying in my storage as well. Window tint is a must in south Texas. I have joined this forum to gain some knowledge on my truck. I like doing most of the work myself so it is always good to get some advice from people that have experience. Thanks

Welcome, Diego!
Glad you joined us. You've done a wonderful transformation on the truck already. Looks great. We have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map) and I'd be happy to put you on it if you want. I hope you'll start a thread on your truck in the main section so we can keep up with your progress.

Great looking truck Diego. What size are the Nitto tires? Did you buy these rims new? Do you know what the offset or backspacking is?

Thanks! The nitto tires are 275 50 17. I did not purchase these wheels new but I can measure the backspace if you need me to. Wheels were bough off facebook from a local that didn't know what he was selling. Bought a show truck and had these wheels on. Basically brand new wheels and tires got him down to $750. Wheels and tires are about $3,100 new. I wouldn't of been able to afford them lol.

No, don't go to any trouble measuring them. Maybe next time you have one of the wheels off if you think of it. I'm just curious. Those Billet Specilties wheels come in custom offsets in 1/8" increments, so they could be anything. I'm really just curious since 10" wide rims usually stick out further than yours do. Must be 5 or 5.5" back spacing. I'm running 275/60/15 on 15x8 rims, so I was curious what yours were. It's hard to find nice wide tires that look good on these trucks and that don't stick out a mile.
You've got a great looking truck there. Nice work.
