Neat Torque Cell

This is either Harbor Freight or Northern Tool, but is extremely accurate according to Morehouse Calibration. They bought one to demo at a calibration conference in September 2011 with the idea of showing what kind of junk is on the market. It backfired, it is better than a lot of high end devices that sell more for their name.

The value it is set to is the wheel nut torque for Darth.

I have a very similar unit from Eastwood.  Matches my new digital torque wrenches closely.  If you don't have digital torque wrenches it works pretty well.  But, it is awkward due to its size.

It wasn't a problem on the front wheel, short 1 1/6" 1/2" drive socket and a long breaker bar, just pushed down until I got 140 ft-lbs. (8 times). I think it cost about $40.

That's a lot less $ than the Eastwood one.

I love mine.  My wrenching buddy made a lot of fun of me when I started using it on the Volvo a few years back (lots of aluminum of those cars and easy to over tighten bolts), but after a year of matching his Snap On he started leaving me alone.
