Interesting!  Would be cool idea for a Bullnose transformation - all black.

And that looks to be a lot of truck for $3k.  But a Kenwood w/o speakers?

What is the bit at the very end about "V8 Required". Is that something to do with California?

Yes, there are some threads on the Nite on FTE. On edit, you probably meant the black XLS, sorry!
