hello guys,
my name is Tobias and come from Lower Saxony, Germany. Why I checked in was a proposal from Gary, as I told him from my work of the last 8 years: the construction and manufacturing of a multi-functional Ford F250 7th Generation in a scale of 1:13. He thought, some of you could be interested Before I start describing the project, let me give you a short self-introduction I am 58 years old and a trained automotive CAD engineer with main focus body in white and sealings. For the measurement analytics I worked 10 years as well. That shold be enough from work, since 3 years I´m out of job and I´m glad about it My hobbies are progressiv-rock (riverside, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Katatonia) on a High-end Hi-Fi, driving my convertible and model making (is it the right expression?) Details to the truck I will show in a separate threat "Muminvaters F250 scale 1:13" and if Gary´s ok with it, I post it under "projects". thats for now, greetings Tobias

Tobias - Glad you joined!
Yes, I think model making is the right term. And I think it'll be cool to see what you've done with regard to our beloved trucks. We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can put you on if you gave us a town/village. I look forward to seeing your thread in Projects.

Welcome to the group Tobias!
I have spent quite a bit of time in Germany with my work. It is beautiful there, and I loved the food (and beer!).

Hi Tobias!
One of my nearest neighbours comes from Germany. He doesn't really enjoy plane trips, so he prefers to stay here but his wife goes back "home" 2-3 times a year. Very nice people! We speak French, they speak German, and we all have fun jabbering English together. I am very curious about your scaled model project. Very exciting! Please keep us informed, and post pictures!

Welcome to the forum! I have never spent any time overseas (glad in a way as it would most likely have been SE Asia). I worked at a Mercedes-Benz dealership and have worked on many German autos from low to high end (Opel through M-B and BMW).
For many years as a teenager I built model cars in 1:25th and 1:24th scale mostly AMT and Revell.
