Moved 4 post lift

Clutch47
My incredible family bought me a car lift as a retirement present 3 years ago.
We put it together inside my old garage thinking I'd live there forever.
Ended up moving into our retirement home... and then the 4 inches shorter door opening became a factor.

My son has an excavation business and came with his mini, so we got it done without a scratch.
  Pictures for your enjoyment 😉

8 miles later, backed it into the new shop and it was done.
All Ford all the time.

I used some beam clamps attached to the safety latch ladder in each post to keep the legs stable.
Not sure if you can see it but here they are.

Thought I'd throw this on here as an idea for anyone else wanting to move a lift.
It's a basic beam clamp inserted into the safety latch ladder on the lift post.
I used it as a stop to prevent the posts from dropping while it was on the trailer.
All Ford all the time.

Those little things sure are handy!

I had all kind of shelving made of kindorf hanging from the beams of my old shop.

It's amazing how much a 3/8-16 ready rod can hold!  ðŸ¤¯

That's no joke. I've seen all thread used for some pretty sketchy stuff over the years.
    Carriage bolts too.
Somehow, the butter soft metal held.
