I have made some progress this morning. Hit a stumbling block with the lower ball joint torquing down.
I got he top one to 100ftlbs easy, spun a castle nut on the lower and got it to 90ftlbs, but that lock nut that MOOG supplies just keeps the ball joint spinning.
The advice on the internet is to put a jack under the ball joint and get the weight of the truck on it, then it will torque down.
Well, try as I might I could not get the weight of the truck on the jack without it slipping.
Then I realized, I have the spring and dampers out! That has to be the reason, right?
Not going to tackle that now, it is too hot, but in the morning I will get that spring in and those dampers, then hopefully I can get it torqued.
What a ball (joint) ache.
