That emblem did not go on a Bronco or F-Series tailgate.  It was originally placed right behind the door on a 1982 and the 1985/1986 Bronco with the "Lariat" trim package.

The early 1980 and 1981 F-Series "Lariat" trucks had a similar emblem on the bottom right corner of the aluminum tailgate trim panel, but it did not have the chrome frame; it was just the insert.  The part number for this one is E0TZ-9940282-B.   I put one of these on Lucille's main dash assembly:

Yep, I bought it for that b-pillar location. I had a moment of weakness. It will go in the box until the body gets done next year....
