Hello from Germany!

Max
Hello,
i´m from Germany and my name is Max.

I bought a 1980 F100 Stepside Truck last year. That's not my first „american car“, i drive a 1967 Mustang Convertible too.
The Truck was an import from California, very good  Body condition.
There a lot to do with technical stuff, but the most are now done.
Here my little documentation about that:

I6 300, C6 Transmission, 9“ - 2,79 rear end.
Factory A/C, Power steering and brakes conversion.

The frame are great! A little bit paint an thats it.

The Engine, 287.000 miles on it. I removed the smog Pump (needs rebuild), but not the EGR.
There are some parts missing for the A/C

And the new Stepside Bed.

That´s no wood, it´s WPC (Wood-Plastic-Composite).

And a BIG thank to Gary, your Documentation are so helpful.

Kind regards
Max

Max - Welcome!

Glad the documentation is helping.  But whatever you used, you sure did a wonderful job on that truck.
 It looks great!

What part of Germany are you in?  I ask for two reasons.  First, we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd love to add you.  Second, my wife and I've been to Germany many times and are curious if we've been there.  We've been to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Rostock, and along the Rhine and down the Danube.

Anyway, welcome!!!!

Ahh cool. I have spent some time south of you in Radolfzel, near Konstanz. I sell and service some equipment that is manufactured there.

Your truck is Gorgeous. I love it.

It looks like it was a factory radio delete truck? Did you have to install the radio, or was that already in it when you bought it?

The frame and underside are in amazing condition, and I like the idea of the composite bed floor. I wondered when somebody was going to do that. At least they will not rot and will not be bothered by rain and moisture.

Max - You are now on the map.  And your idea of a new thread in Projects is perfect.  That way you can preserve your pics of all the work you've done as well as share it with us.

I visit Konstanz and Radolfzell once a week and also have customers there.

The radio bezel was cut to a modern DIN radio from the previos owner, maybe i will rebuild it in the future if i find a new cover for it.

I'm glad you like the truck.

Have a nice weekend.
