Have you seen the Ford Heritage Vault? Apparently they are getting into providing pictures and brochures of their vehicles. However, looking at their 1985 F-Series Brochures I see that we have one they don't have. The one they have is the early version with the adhesive trim, but we have that one and the later version w/o that trim.
Anyway, poke around and see what you can find!

This is cool!
But, this is why I appreciate you and this website and all who have contributed! I have used GM’s Heritage site, although now they changed it and to me make it hard to find your vehicle. Here’s the main site: https://www.gm.com/heritage?evar25=gmhc_redirect Here’s the pages for my truck and Suburban: https://www.gm.com/content/dam/company/no_search/heritage-archive-docs/vehicle-information-kits/chevrolet-trucks/1998-Chevrolet-Truck.pdf

The scans on your Suburban aren't too good. But they have a lot of info. That ordering guide is great.

I have a suggestion for them: The only result for any search about Bullnoses would be a link to this amazing Forum and its incredible Library. Would be much easier for them. Job is already done!

The 1981 F-series brochures are of the "slide-lock" variation as well, even the midsize brochure etc. It looks like they used the early printings.
I would like to see all of the 80/86 Explorer brochure/dealer inserts in one place sometime. Most people don't even know that they once existed nowadays.

Ralph - We have the 81 and 85 Explorer brochures on the website in the Manuals & Literature section. But I also have some other Explorer info that came in the dealer facts books. Maybe I should add that there? And do you have more Explorer lit?

Thanks, Jeff. We do seem to be ahead of Ford in this just a little bit. Btw, check your email.

Yes, I have a scan of the 1980 Explorer I can share right now. I also have a lot of 70's Explorer stuff too that I'll need to work harder at getting online etc...
I think any information of the Explorer models would be of good value as they were unique to the standard production run.

Do you have a high-res version of the 80 brochure you can send me?
I've looked and my 81 fact book has a 1-page letter about the Explorer program, and the 1985 fact book has a tab with two pages about it. I can add those pages to the existing info.

Ok, I was wrong. The '81 dealer fact book did have a letter about the Explorer program, but it was the 1982 program which started in Sept of '81. So I scanned it and added it to the site. And, since it really isn't a brochure I changed the line in the Manual & Literature spreadsheet to Explorer Program from Explorer Brochure.
And it is the 1986 dealer fact book that has a 2-pager on the Explorer program, not the 85 book, so I scanned it and added it as well. However, there's something about a table on Page 1 that doesn't come through well. I tried scanning it at different dpi's and finally decided that 600 was the best I could do. Anyway, we now have some info on two more years of the Explorer program, but still need 1980, 1983, and 1984. Plus, we could use a brochure for both 1982 and 1986, in addition to the letter and tab info we have for those years.

I will do my best to get higher resolution scans "scanned". I'll also try to clean them up a bit while I'm at it.
Some of those scans of mine are almost 20 years old.

I have a scanner, it's just finding out how to use it properly. The pictures are turning really grainy for some reason.

Ralph - Check the dots per inch setting, or dpi. I use 600 on most of my scanning.
John - Welcome. Glad you like it.
