For those needing the "Argent" color for the grill and headlight buckets, I have the answer...

After sitting with my "paint guy" at the local PPG shop, we came up with this....

The center of the photo is painted with PPG 2593, (Ford 1-G), the right and left sides are original 30 year old Argent.

This shows the color coordinates in L* a* b* color space.... Suuuuper close!

Ron - I'm confused. You said "silver" and "Argent", but the picture looks like copper. What am I missing?

We used to be able to buy it, when my business partner did his 57 T-bird, the air filter was argent.

You say Ford 3G but the can shown has Ford 1G so what one is it and what year is that code found?

That is where we got the argent for the 57 T-bird, got it from Center Ford in Newport News VA, now gone.

T-Bird without the dress up kit. Rare, but not desirable :) Most has teh chrome air cleaner.
