I made a Flareside license plate bracket for a gentleman, He received it and is very pleased with it and asked if I could make the Flareside bumper bracket (right and left)...
anyone think there is a "mini" market for this?

I'm sure there's a market, Ron. T-Bone Tom asked a day or so ago about them on Facebook. And someone else did recently as well. My understanding is they are unobtainable.

There always seems to be somebody looking for a set on Facebook. As for the mini-market...you could probably sell a half a dozen of them relatively quick, and then after that it would likely be more of a trickle, selling a couple sets a year. I'm just guessing Ron. I think there are a lot of Flaresides out there with step bumpers on them, and the guys are wanting to convert them to the short/small bumper like the originals.

That might be for installing a styleside step bumper on a Flareside, but it's not for the regular small Flareside bumper.

But they are the same on left and right... Or do you mean the right hand side of the individual 2pc bracket?

Right - as shown below there's an inner and outer on each side, but the pair is used both left and right side.

The seller claims this to be for a "no step" bumper, but it looks different, to me.

As you can see in the lower illustration, the one on Ebay is not for Flareside. there are 4 required for the small bumper..

I found the set I had squirreled away, as you can see there are 4 pieces, rights and lefts are identical. But don't think I should sell, but could use them to make a template to make them....

Hi Reamer, are you interested in selling the brackets? I have looked everywhere and would appreciate it.
Thanks! |
Maybe this will pan out?

Reamer,
I would definantly buy a set. I just picked up a bumper but have no brackets. If you decide not to make them could i get some dimensions/drawings so i can get my own made? Thanks, Darrell

Was looking into a small Bridgeport, Need it to cut the slots in the bumper brackets, but the garage project is on hold till I either get a foundation replacement on the State, or tear it down and rebuild by myself....
