Finally saying hello

Been lurking here for a while and realized I’ve never even posted an introduction post.

I’m Derek, Will’s (dirtymac’s) husband.

We’ve been working on his 82 F-250 for a bit now - things we’ve done with your help are:

• Replaced carburetor with correct carburator - initial one on the truck when we got it had the wrong venturi size.
• Replace the steering components (there was at least 45 degrees of slop in the wheel) - the ps pump was shot, so we replaced that, the steering gearbox, steering shaft. (Also in this process we replaced harmonic balancer that had separated).
• Rear brake job - they were a mess.
• 3g alternator upgrade.

We also had the transmission overhauled.

Our next projects include fixing the AC and getting both fuel tanks working so we will definitely be looking for feedback on those in the near future.

Welcome, Derek!  Glad you joined and that you've introduced yourself - finally.  

And, I'm glad the truck is getting its problems resolved.  Looks like it had a few problems, but what vehicle that age doesn't?
