Engine stand for 300-6

Clutch47
I've got a rolling stand that had a 302 on it. It's just a generic bolt together stand with casters that works surprisingly well. Low to the ground and easy rolling.
Any of you fine bullnose fans ever adapt a stand to the big six? I'm thinking 2 pieces of 3" angle drilled right just might do it.
   Any grand ideas?
All Ford all the time.

1 of the 3 stands I have is a 4 wheel square base one that I would use for any motor as it is the most stable one I got.

Next would be a 4 wheel but the base is a "T" with 2 wheels on the bottom of the "T"
Would be the 2nd one to use.

Last is a "T" also but only 1 wheel and the bottom of the "T"
I dont remember what the weight limits are on them but the first is the highest.

Where did you get your casters Dave?
Are they all steel or do they have hard rubber tires?

This is the one I have. I got it from Jegs when it was on sale ($99?). It works OK with the 300/6 but seems to droop a little. So, I got a crappy scissor jack from a junk yard and support the engine with the jack between the oil pan ('79 mid-sump pan) and the bottom brace. It's not ideal but it makes me feel better. Granted, my engine is just sitting in storage. I'm not working on it (yet) nor am I wheeling it around (much).

Different 'Dave' but my stand came with steel casters. You can find both steel and rubber casters at any home improvement store. I have some steel ones that I used to make dollies for my truck. They came from Home Despot...

The problem with steel or really thin rubber depends on how glass smooth the floor is.

If you've got a 460 or even a (horror😱) 420 on a stand with any momentum you're in a bunch of trouble.

But something with an 80 durometer or higher might be best.

I'm looking to build a new motorcycle platform, and want to see all the options.
RN it's looking like Horrid Fate 3" casters (2 fixed & 2 swivel, locking) are going to be the answer for me.  👍
