That's a BELLCRANK ASSY. (TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONTROL) for an 80 F100/350 - U150 with a C4 or C6 or 81/82 F100/350 with an AOD/AOT.

It equalizes the shift linkage as the powertrain rocks on the mounts - so that a broken engine mount doesn't cause the trans to shift unexpectedly, or uncontrollably. Essentially the same function as this, for the old mechanical clutch linkage:
