Cab Corner question

Tyler
Is there any reason not to fill this void (the small gap that goes down into the cab Corner) at the back of the cab with spray foam insulation?

I removed a ton of dirt, some old coins, a sewing needle or two and probably some incriminating DNA from the PO, 🤪.

Preparing the floor pan for carpeting from LMC and resealing the cab seams...

I would just be sure to accommodate water drainage, and probably some type of rubberized undercoating underneath. Those areas rust in at least half the country..

The expanding foam is what causes almost every supercab I've ever seen to rot between the door jamb and the cab corner.

Well, the water that gets in (off of boots or from the 1/4 window seal) gets trapped and festers* under there.

Remember, that pinch weld the door seal fits on can trap up to an inch of water just inside the rockers.
But supercabs have a LOT of area between the door opening and the cab corner.

Foam holds moisture, the worst thing you could do.
