85 ignition lock cylinder removal

Struggling to remove the lock cylinder on this bronco. Rotated it to Compress the pin but no luck. Feels like somethings still holding it in place. What am I missing?

are you inserting a 1/8 drill bit or 16p nail in the release port underneath?

Yes. it moves up but wont release the cylinder. It moves in the acc position.

I also dont have the key... But it starts freely without one....

Will it go to the run position? That’s where it should be for removal.
