Hello all I picked 85 recently. I have been trying to buy it for a couple years from my girlfriends uncle he had bought it for his daughter as a graduation gift, and after she had lost interest in it someone borrowed it for a while and returned it after it started having electrical issues. About a year ago I put a new ignition switch in for them , a new fuel pump relay, and battery cables. After returning home in it and driving it a couple times - dumb decision luckily no consequences- I replaced the temp sensor, and after letting it warm up I could see it was over heating. So now I'm waiting on a water pump and thermostat and a good sunny weekend. I also got under the dash to find burned up wires all wires going to the headlight switch and a wire going to where the radio was. I found an 86 in the junk yard, but they won't give me a price on the harness if I pull it and these wires are crispy all the way to the fuse panel I thought about just cutting all the bad stuff out and running inline fuses but the thought of doing that makes me cringe. I also have been having good luck using grafiti remover on the camoflauge spray paint the black paint underneath is beautiful so far It also has a working ac I found the build sheet under the seat so that was exciting. Ford Canada built the ol girl, and it's a lariat with power windows and locks which I will also have to do some wiring repair on 🤣

That sounds like a quite a project! What are you going to do about the wiring?
But I can't see the picture you tried to post. Have you looked at the page at Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's?

My android has always acted up about uploading photos, do you guys use a PC usually? And I've since talked to the junk yard they keep a lot of obs ford and gm trucks there if I pull the harness it's 75$. No Brainer I'd say, I'm headed down tomorrow to pull it out. I've never had an efi bullnose so I'm interested to see how many different legs I'll have to pull. I've never pulled a full dash either so that will be interesting I've heard a few different opinions. I'm also hoping my ecm will work with that trucks harness

It's not hard from an android
All I have is a $175 phone and I'm an admin w/ 17,000 posts. 🤣 Click the second (orange) button. Click big, or large size at the bottom of the right side of the drop down menu. Click choose from my device, and then navigate to your photos on your phone. Select the photo and click "insert image" It'll take a bit to load to the server, and then the window goes away and you're back in the reply screen. If you need a step by step on dash removal we can find you one here on the forum.

Maybe I'll find what I need in this mess of wires I scored all kinds of parts while I was there, the harness was not the same but hey for 75$ I got all kinds of connectors and plugs I needed. Plus I got my lariat horn pad and tailgate panel plus a few other good pieces. Now to see about pulling these connectors out of the fuse panel 🤣

You should replace the blend door's hinge. It isn't a question of "if" but "when" the hinge fails, and this is the perfect time to replace it. See the page at Documentation/HVAC/Blend Door Repair.

I have done that blend door hinge on 2 vehicles. Even with the dash out it was a frustrating task!

Haven't updated in a little bit, but I've been making some head way with the ol girl. I got the dash rewired and cleaned, added a stereo and a kicker hideaway behind the seat, and did the blend door hinge. I ended up finding a good parts bricknose with a 300 and a 4 speed w granny gear, it had new aluminum wheels and new tires on it I'm going to put the 4 speed in my rig and my dad wants the 300 in his bronco, I've been redoing for him. P.s has anyone ever seen a factory tonneau cover for our trucks ? There's a guy selling one near buy its in good working order and he said it came with his truck new anyone think it's worth 150$ ?

Progress is good!
As for the tonneau, I don't think I've ever seen one, but the catalog shows one:

Weird, the one he has is fiberglass and hinges in the middle where both ends open and has ford stamped real big on both sides of the rear

I'm struggling to remember the actual brand name of that bed cover. stream line or something ... line. they were made with ford logo on the sides but I know they were made for chevy also. I like them as they sort of convert the bed into a big trunk. some even have a rail system too. not for everyone but there is no one truck for everyone.

I haven't made it out his way to get a good look at it but it is tempting. I've been daydreaming of painting the truck back black and that cover as well
