Re: 460 build

Transportation cradle, will not work with later pan and dipstick tube.

On my 1972 Lakewood folding engine stand.

Better view, builder stuck the later oil cooler that was on the block back on, I removed it!

New PCV line from Kool Ford in Keller Virginia.

Gaskets and O rings for the oil filter adapter.

New spark plug heat shields F1TZ-12A406-A, much better than the older ones!

Left side, motor mount on factory adapter plate with heat shield (very important).

Since (a) the pan had a nice dent where the drain plug sits and (b) I couldn't find the dipstick and tube, I ordered a nice replacement from Summit, a Ford Racing oil pan. Very complete kit.

Installed with a nice late model dipstick, no more trying to tighten a 5/8" hex in a pocket!

Front view, I bought an extra set of brackets and heater return pipe from a fellow who had a blown engine and bought a ready to install used on.
