Nice truck, but loooooong.  Not sure what an Off Road package consists of, but you'd need lots of room to turn that thing around.  And too bad it is a 49-state version not a CA 'cause it has the speed density system not MAF.

My father has a 1997 F-150 Super Cab long bed and that thing is as long as that truck.

Only thing longer is the Crew Cab long bed my friend has.

I bought my wife a 2000 F-150 super cab short bed decade ago and it has the off road package.  Sway Bars; 3/4 ton rear end pumpkin with half ton axle shafts; limited slip. On ice you cant make sharp turns with it. It will turn switchbacks that the 1997 will not. :)

I bet that 1997 F250HD is similar.

I have a 2015 SuperCrew and the 5 1/2' bed.  It is actually slightly longer than Big Blue, but turns tighter - even though BB's front axle is now the D60 and that lets him turn tighter than with TTB's.  Oddly enough, BB's wheelbase is 133" and the 2015's is 145".

Reminds me of my 2003 Ranger. 8.8" half-ton ring gear, with 7.5" 28 spline axle shafts and bearings.
