Im picking up a set of high back 87-91 Eddie Bauer Bronco Buckets and console tonight. I'll need them recovered in blue. RAYBUCK lists 80-86 Bronco covers. The 80-86 look very close to (if not exactly the same) as the 87-91. The most obvious exception being that the early buckets have 2 folding arm rests per seat, and the 87-91 only have the inner arm rest.
Does anyone know if the 80-86 upholstery would work fine with the 87-91 frames? RAYBUCK: https://raybuck.com/product/1980-1986-ford-bronco-front-bucket-seat-cover-kit-vinyl/ 1987-91 (THESE ARE EXACTLY LIKE WHAT I AM PICKING UP TONIGHT) 1980-86

I'm very interested in seeing where this question leads as I've been wondering the same.
Mine I pulled from an '85 Bronco and are very similar to the ones in your bottom pic. Difference being that mine are 100% blue vinyl and only have the inboard arm rests.

Blue vinyl is what I'm going for on these. I picked them up tonight. I have 2 tan consoles now. Do you have an extra blue one?

Here is what I'm working with. The console on the right I already had.

These consoles are not exactly the same. The cup holders are deeper on the one I know came from an 87 Eddie Bauer Bronco. I'm not sure what year these seats and console originated from. They were pulled from a bullnose single cab f150. The mounting holes are also just slightly different.

Yes, the later models are deeper. I found one that matched the 86 interior I used to own for that reason.
Edit: The mounting holes didn't line up IIRC, the two front did, but not the two rear. I like the 92 and up consoles better, I think Gary put one in his truck.

I got a console with the deeper cup holders on ebay a rear or so ago. Still need the seats rebuilding, maybe i should call the shop and see what the current cost/lead time is…

My console is from a 90's truck and the cup holders are black plastic that press in or can be taken out. In they are a good size for most drinks and out they allow big drinks to fit.
But if you get a price for rebuilding seats I'd like to know what it is. I really ought to get the ones Chad gave me recovered and put these in Dad's truck.

Well, Raybuck sells the upholstery for about $400. So, if you do it yourself, that's the base price. I had a basic bench seat for my International Dumptruck quoted, and the #1 rated upholstery shop here locally told me about $650 JUST the bottom half of the seat.

So you have a different style console that isn't stock in dad's truck? Also, what do you guys think about dying a tan console blue? You think it'll scratch and look like crap later?

Jein, if you know German. I have a later console in Big Blue. If I get my lesson for tomorrow done in time today I'll get some pics for you later today.
As for painting, I'll get pics on that as well. I used SEM on several things and it is coming off in some places. I'm wondering if I might not have prep'd as well as I should have there since it is holding up other places.

I used SEM 20 years ago on a 70 chevelle to turn a few tan peices black. It held up well for several years until I had to sell the car.
I guess I could use the spare console as a test. Do you know which blue SEM to purchase for an 89 Bricknose?

I don't know SEM colors for anything later than 1986. Sorry. But I'll bet they can tell you. Or maybe Vinyl Pro can tell you. They are my go-to place for all things re SEM, and since you'll have to have the color mixed you might as well call them.
As for my console, here 'tis. I've pulled the cup holder insert out so you can see how it works.

Thanks Gary. I think I want to keep a factory correct console. I'm looking for a blue one, found one in a bronco being parted out, waiting for more photos of it.
