Tom, Id seriously consider using an
add-a-circuit, but I have an '87 truck and my fuse panel is different.
Much cleaner and easier than messing with wires
at the switch.Fuse #9 controls the blower motor in your '85 and is only powered in run.
Edit:
Fuse 15 & 18
also seem to be powered only in run.
These are fuel selector and seatbelt warning/fuel pump control.

Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake.
Too much other stuff to mention.
